Diverse and effective route tree. Specifically stands out to me when running routes that require a double move; his suddenness is very good.
Works back to the ball on routes and will meet it at the catch point.
Consistently wins in off-man coverage.
Good feel for zone coverage. Can find the soft spot and drift away from the natural route end point.
Willing and effective run blocker.
Very good vertical speed and lateral agility.
Good ball tracking ability.

Concerns/Weaknesses

Strength is about average right now, but needs to continue to increase in the NFL to hit that possibility of being an alpha X receiver.
Less effective in press man than I would have hoped for.
Not creative after the catch; relies on straight line speed and out-angling the defender.

Summary
As things currently stand, Tate is an easy NFL projection for me. This is a high end do-it-all type of receiver that can become the number one option in the offense. If he can put more strength on the frame and improve against press man, he has the ceiling to be that true alpha X receiver.
